Game Description: In the 2012 game, Rebound Rumble, two Alliances of three teams compete by trying to score as many basketballs in the hoops as possible during the two minute and 15-second match. Robot Description: Team 237s robot was built on a 4 wheel drive base in a wide configuration. Using a dual sided pickup, the robot was capable of picking up balls from the floor and loading them into a spring-powered catapult. The catapult was designed to launch the ball into a trajectory that would give the ball the best angle to hit the basket at a standard distance. At the end of the match an arm, which was built onto the robot in one day at the first competition, would lower the bridge and allow teammate robots and Team 237’s robot to climb on top and balance the bridge.
